When SHEEP guidelines are broken, our job is to enforce the standards of excellence for everyone. As a parent, when you sign up for SHEEP classes, you enter into an agreement between SHEEP, yourself and your children to uphold these standards.

Parental Requirements

You, the parents, are ultimately responsible for the education of your child. SHEEP cannot guarantee that any of the classes offered will meet your individual and specific needs. Further, SHEEP cannot guarantee high school credit will be given for a particular course or class. You are required to make sure your child completes the work at home to insure a credit in the class. You are strongly encouraged to speak to your accountability association prior to enrolling with SHEEP should it be your desire to receive credit of any kind from any class offered by SHEEP.
SHEEP is simply a starting point. Since SHEEP meets only once a week, the majority of the course work will be completed at home. This especially true in courses where you as the parent hope to award a high school credit.
SHEEP is open to homeschoolers who homeschool under South Carolina Option 2 or 3 and have current membership in a Homeschool Accountability Group.

Security and Safety

We employ a safety team to monitor the campus during class time and facilitate class changeover. Safety team members direct traffic, assist children, monitor doors, supervise students waiting for pick up and more. Please listen to traffic directions from our safety team and work with them to keep our students safe!
For the safety and security of your children, all doors except the front door will be locked during class time and monitored by the safety team.
All parents must enter by the front doors. Only students, volunteers and staff wearing nametags on lanyards will be allowed entry to entrances other than the front doors. If you need a nametag for entry, please see our front desk and they will assist you.

Parking Lot Policies

For All Campuses:

Students cannot be in vehicles unsupervised during class hours.
- Students must be in a class or study hall while on campus. Our insurance forbids students from sitting alone in a car in our parking lot. Students must leave campus if they do not have a class, or sit in study hall or the foyer until their next class.
- This includes teacher and staff children.
- Students in a car with a parent is acceptable.
- If a driving age student is picking up their siblings, they may arrive at most 10 minutes early and wait for their siblings in the parking lot.
- We understand students may need to retrieve belongings from vehicles during class changeover, this is also acceptable.
Students walking in the parking lot:
- Students not being picked up at the preschool desk may walk to their parents’ parked car at the discretion of their parents. SHEEP strongly discourages children 3rd grade and under from making this walk without a parent, sibling, or older student accompanying them.

Summerville Campus:

Traffic MUST flow one way, entering at the entrance near the insurance building and flowing around and out the exit by the front of the church.
All traffic signs and safety team members must be obeyed.
GO SLOW. Vehicles should not exceed 5mph in the parking lot.
Students may be dropped off from a vehicle at the Gym or under the carport. Please be respectful of those waiting in line and drop off as quickly as possible.
Students can be picked up from a vehicle ONLY under the carport. To pick up a child from the gym drop off location, please park your car and walk up for the student.
Our traffic pattern does not allow for stopped cars waiting for children to be picked up. If you do not see your child, please park in a marked parking spot and wait or exit the parking lot and take a left turn to lap back around. Safety team members are available to help you park if you are under the carport.
Please leave the handicap spaces open for those with an official placard. We have several spaces coned off to allow for two car lanes through the carport and exit. Please do not park in the handicap spaces within these lanes to accommodate traffic.

Crowfield Campus:

All traffic signs and safety team members must be obeyed.
GO SLOW. Vehicles should not exceed 5mph in the parking lot.

Miles Road Campus:

All traffic signs and safety team members must be obeyed.

Guests

No guests are allowed on campus without prior approval. If you receive approval, please visit the front desk for a temporary visitor’s pass to allow you on campus.

Off Limits

The kitchen beside the family room is off limits to students unless they are helping a teacher. Coffee and anything else in that kitchen is off limits to students. There will be no congregating in this room at anytime.
The Gym and gym equipment are off limits. Please do not let your child play with anything in the gym; this is not our gym and children may only be in this space when enrolled and attending a supervised class with their teacher.
At 3:00, all students, parents and staff need to be off campus so the volunteers can clean and close the buildings.
